General Relativity

General Relativity (GR), or the Theory of General Relativity, was first proposed by Albert Einstein in 1916. It describes gravitational effects via a curved space-time, where objects move along trajectories that are geodesics, i.e. which are "as straight as possible" in the curved manifold
