Why now?

Startup pitches have the same key question: "if this is a great idea, why hasn't anyone built it yet?"
- I thought the investments were made in people and stories rather than ideas
A= Yes, with a few caveats: 1) people and stories matter, but the idea is not unimportant. A great person w/a bad idea will have a hard time getting funded. 2) The "Why Now?" is part of a good story.
