# Research Directions — Kartiek Agarwal (from Google Scholar) ⏎ A thematic map of Kartiek Agarwal's research (Argonne National Laboratory), built from his Google Scholar publication history (~87 entries, 2013-2026) and organized around genuine physical/methodological mechanisms rather than keywords or co-authorship alone. Agarwal is a frequent collaborator of Ivar Martin's — several threads here (two-level-system noise, driven-symmetry engineering, Majorana physics, quantum Hopfield networks) are shared, ongoing multi-author research programs, not coincidental topic overlap. ⏎ Four themes: Disorder & Ergodicity Breaking (many-body localization through driven localization to engineered scars); Nonequilibrium Protocols & Wavefront Engineering (quench-front design for state preparation, echoed in a completely separate classical-optics excursion); Quantum Sensing & Symmetry-Breaking Probes (using a local quantum sensor to diagnose electron dynamics or hidden symmetry breaking, plus the noise theory underlying it); and Topological Matter & Quantum Information (Majorana zero modes, quantum Hall valley transport, and a quantum-information thread including classical shadow tomography and a black-hole toy model). ⏎ One paper is deliberately excluded: "Theory of Dyakonov-Tamm waves..."
